Bear pulls full trash bag out of Colorado Springs garage

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is reminding neighbors in Colorado Springs to lock up their trash after a bear walked into an open garage in broad daylight and walked off with a full bag of trash.

According to CPW, the encounter happened on Sunday, June 14, during which a bear walked into an open garage while the homeowner was inside the home. CPW said the homeowner did not confront the bear, and it appears in security footage to drag the trash bag onto the driveway and tear the bag open.

CPW issued a reminder to neighbors to secure their trash, bird feeders, and pet food. The agency offers a multitude of tips on its website to avoid attracting bears to your home…
