(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Former Air Force Athletics Director Nathan Pine broke his silence on Friday, July 17, after being dismissed in late June. In a post on X, Pine called the last two years “arduous” and hopes the athletic department can rebound.

“On behalf of the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation Board of Directors, Air Force Athletics Coaches and Staff, we extend our gratitude to Nathan Pine for his leadership and dedicated service as Athletics Director. During his tenure, our athletics program achieved remarkable success, strengthened its commitment to excellence, and created lasting opportunities for our cadets and cadet-athletes, coaches, staff, and the broader community.”

“His vision and commitment will leave a lasting impact reaching beyond wins and championships. We thank Nathan and Stephanie for their contributions, relationships, and memories that remain an important part of our institution’s legacy. We wish the Pines every success and happiness in their future endeavors.”…
