COLORADO (KKTV) – With summer temperatures rising across Southern Colorado, Black Hills Energy and Colorado Springs Utilities are reminding customers of ways to conserve energy.
Black Hills Energy share some key tips, which include:
- Set thermostats to 75 degrees or higher, with 78 degrees being most economical.
- Change HVAC and air-conditioning filters regularly.
- Unplug electronics and devices when not in use.
- Improve home insulation and seal air leaks.
- Monitor energy use through online account tools.
- Take advantage of available rebates on smart thermostats and other energy-efficient equipment.
