(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) reported that K9 Styx died while being treated for injuries received during an off-duty incident in Falcon on Saturday, Aug. 8.
According to EPSO, at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, the EPSO Regional Communications Center received a call reporting that an unknown dog had attacked the caller’s dog and had bitten the caller. The caller reported they had shot the dog.
Deputies were responding to the scene in the 8900 block of Royal Melbourne Circle in the Falcon area of unincorporated El Paso County, near Meridian Ranche Boulevard and Woodmen Hills Drive, and before they arrived, deputies were notified by an off-duty K9 deputy that the dog involved in the incident was EPSO K9 Styx…
