Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm early in the evening. It will be on the breezy side with winds out of the north at 5 to 15 mph. A cold front will move through this evening which will kick up the winds for most areas along the I-25 Corridor. Expect overnight lows in the lower 60s.
Wednesday will bring us cooler temperatures and a good chance of scattered afternoon and evening storms. We do have the potential for heavy rain and hail with some of the stronger storms that do develop. We will have a Flash Flood Watch for the Aspen Burn Scar Area in effect from 1 P.M. through 8 P.M. Wednesday. If you live near that area, have a plan to get out if flooding occurs. Expect highs in the low to mid 80s. We will also be watching the Eastern Plains for the possibility strong to severe storms.
