(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Two separate incidents of assault on peace officers, both resulted in arrests in Colorado Springs on Sunday, Sep. 6, coincidentally within a few hours of each other, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
One suspect was involved in an investigation of a domestic violence assault, and CSPD determined probable cause to arrest the suspect. Later identified as Jullisa Pruiett, CSPD said she became aggressive and attacked both officers when they contacted her at her work on the 400 block of West Garden of the Gods Road near Austin Bluffs Parkway.
CSPD said the officers both sustained minor injuries, but were able to arrest Pruiett. She was charged with 2nd-degree assault for assaulting both officers, along with 3rd-degree assault for her original domestic violence-related case.
