COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -A baby boy is home after spending several months in the hospital.
Kailo is the son of Reiko and Adriana Moss. The couple said their baby has had to fight for his life in the hospital for 112 days. He came home this past weekend. Adriana Moss said it has been a journey to get to this point, and the family has spent much time with Kailo in the NICU.
A long battle since birth
Kailo was born in May. Adriana Moss said she was diagnosed with preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication she said gave her high blood pressure and severe headaches. According to the Cleveland Clinic, 5 to 8 percent of pregnant women are diagnosed with preeclampsia.
