Woman turns self in after trying and failing to rob Colorado Springs business: Police

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Police say a woman voluntarily turned herself in a few hours after trying to rob a store overnight. Officers were called to an undisclosed business on North Academy near Maizeland at 12:40 a.m. after a clerk reported an armed suspect walking in and demanding cash. She ended up leaving empty-handed, tossing her weapon in a nearby dumpster before driving. Police later found the discarded firearm in the dumpster and determined it was an air pistol.
