A recent update from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office indicates that Tuesday brought another successful day in terms of fighting the 24 Fire that’s burning along Highway 115 between Colorado Springs and Penrose.
With the fire still estimated at 7,385 acres, containment increased from 20 percent to 44 percent, per the early Wednesday report.
