HSPPR sees seven large-scale impound cases in 10 days

(PIKES PEAK REGION, Colo.) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) said in the final 10 days of March, its team responded to seven large-scale impound cases, resulting in over 100 animals being brought to the shelter.

According to HSPPR, a large-scale impound case is when eight or more animals need to be brought from a single property into the shelter. At the beginning of March, HSPPR responded to a call that brought 37 animals that were living in unsafe conditions. In just a few short weeks, they would be joined by 62 dogs, 28 cats, 17 sugar gliders, two chickens, two ferrets, and even a snake.
