Cheyenne Mountain VFW hosts inaugural craft fair and bake sale

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The first inaugural Craft Fair and Bake Sale was introduced by Cheyenne Mountain VFW Post 3917 Auxiliary on Saturday, Apr. 18, an event that is planned to be held every year to offer the community a chance to purchase handmade goods, baked treats, food, and drinks.

The family-friendly community event included items like crocheted toys, potholders, and even farm-raised eggs. It was designed to bring together creators, neighbors, and supporters of the veteran community while raising funds to support Auxiliary programs that benefit the community.

“We go to hospitals, and we pass out candy and crackers and stuff, and we have to dress up,” Belinda Odom, Auxiliary President, said. “She dresses up as a clown, and I’m a ladybug, because I refuse to be a clown.”
