When a firefighter responded to a call to help deliver a baby, he never imagined he would eventually be there to celebrate that same child’s life milestones — including her graduation and upcoming wedding.
Alan Kent, now retired, responded to a medical call in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Feb. 15, 2004, when he found a woman named Stacy Huddle about to give birth to her daughter, Chloe Huddle.
“We heard Stacy upstairs screaming. I was like, I think we’re going to have a baby,” Alan recalled to news outlet AZFamily. Chloe added, “Alan was the first person to hold me and we’ve had a special bond ever since.”
After Stacy gave birth to Chloe, she brought the newborn to the fire station to reconnect with Alan and others who helped her with the delivery. From then on, Chloe celebrated her birthdays at the fire station while growing up…
