Beans & Brews Coffee House brings high-altitude flavor to Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — What began in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1993 has made its way to Colorado Springs more than 30 years later. Franchise owners Andrea and David Kruth opened Beans & Brews Coffee House in January 2026. The cozy shop, located at 373 Bloomington Street, is open seven days a week. The owners joined Loving Living Local hosts Justin Antweil and Krista Witiak to share what sets their coffee apart.

“For 18 years, I was a nurse, so I always had coffee before every shift,” said Andrea Kruth. “It’s fitting I’m now in the coffee business. Our two teenagers work at the shop, and it’s just a place where people start their day and come together. We have a great menu with seasonal items. The beans are brewed in Salt Lake City. This occurs at a very high altitude, so they lose less moisture and caffeine and don’t have that burnt taste. That’s what makes us unique.”

The two most popular drinks are the Mr. B’s—a rich blend of creamy Ghirardelli white chocolate and Irish cream syrup mixed into a signature frozen latte or espresso—and the Dulce Latte, a smooth, shaken sweet cream latte layered with caramel sauce and topped with soft top and a decadent caramel drizzle.

“We feel so fortunate, so we love giving back to the community,” said David Kruth. “We just had a fundraiser benefiting the Underdogs to help find dogs a fur-ever home, and we plan to do more throughout the weeks and months.”…
