COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Over the weekend, Colorado Springs broke a record for the highest recorded price for the city’s average for a gallon of diesel, according to AAA.
The record was previously set in 2022 after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; but uncertainty over the market due to ongoing conflicts in the Strait of Hormuz, where 20% of the world’s oil supply passes through, has driven costs up across the board.
While experts are concerned about this trickling down to the costs of everyday goods, a local business in Colorado Springs said this has not played a factor in anything so far…
