Metal thefts rising in Colorado Springs, one business being significantly impacted

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs Police say metal theft is on the rise, and one company says the problem is already costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to police, thieves are targeting copper, silver, gold, wire, and other building scrap metal materials. Investigators say they made arrests earlier this year connected to about $15,000 worth of metals stolen from businesses and parks.
