More screen time, less outdoor play: Colorado group encourages kids to unplug

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -As summer break approaches, one Colorado group is encouraging families to help kids spend less time on screens and more time outside.

Generation Wild of the Pikes Peak Region launched its “Take Your Brain Out” campaign Thursday on Children’s Mental Health Day, highlighting the connection between outdoor activity and children’s mental health.
