(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Two people were displaced, and three pets died in a house fire near Research Parkway and North Powers Boulevard on Sunday afternoon, May 10, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD).
At around 2 p.m. on Sunday, CSFD reported that crews were at the scene of a fire in the 9200 block of Stanley Park Drive, where a single-family home had visible fire. At the time, the fire department reported that crews had water on the fire and had knocked it down.
Later that day, at around 5 p.m., CSFD posted an update stating that two people had been taken to the hospital for evaluation and that, because of the extent of the fire, both had been displaced from their home.
