COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Osemeke Uwadibie appeared in El Paso County Court in person for arraignment Monday.
He is accused of attacking a man in his apartment in 2022, slashing him with a knife and beheading him. Police say he assaulted a Colorado Springs Police officer, stole their cruiser, and sped onto the interstate, where he crashed into several incoming cars.
He previously appeared in court in August 2024, after refusing transit because of a reported illness. At the time, the judge declared Uwadibie incompetent to stand trial, with a medication plan in place to restore his competency…
