(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — Another round of unsettled weather is expected across southern Colorado today as scattered showers and thunderstorms develop over the mountains during the afternoon before pushing east onto the plains later in the day and through the evening hours.
In terms of storms today, they are not expected to become widespread severe weather producers, although a few stronger storms may still bring small hail and gusty winds, particularly along the southern Interstate 25 corridor. Thunderstorm activity is expected to continue well into the overnight hours across the far eastern plains, especially north of Highway 50, where storms may linger into the early morning hours Thursday.
Temperatures will remain on the cool side for late May, with afternoon highs mainly ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 70s across the plains.
