(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs shared details about an upcoming temporary test phase starting in the summer for Old Colorado City (OCC) to get feedback from the public.
The City said the project plans to elevate Colorado Avenue into a safer, more accessible, and even more vibrant destination that reflects OCC’s historic character while meeting current and future community needs.
According to the City, in early June, there will be a change between 8th Street and 31st Street on Colorado Avenue. Crews will begin restriping the existing four lanes of the road into a three-lane section to add about 30 new parking stalls in OCC.
