Retired U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Lamont Christian was presented with the Order of the Palmetto on June 26.
Culminating his military career as the 24th Post Command Sergeant Major of Fort Jackson, Christian spent 33 years as a combat infantryman, serving in multiple leadership roles, combat deployments, and earning two notable hall of fame inductions.
