Heavy rain and thunderstorms caused widespread flash flooding and storm damage across the Columbia area Wednesday afternoon.
The slow-moving storms produced torrential rainfall in a short amount of time, overwhelming drainage systems and flooding roads across downtown Columbia and surrounding neighborhoods.
