COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Following two incidents this week in which guns were found on Midlands school properties, officials remind the public how to better prevent children from getting access to a gun.

On Tuesday, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said a school resource officer at JP Thomas Elementary School was called around 7:30 a.m. after it was discovered a child had a loaded gun on the bus.
