The South of France comes to Columbia’s Northeast

Lavender Cafe, located at 101 Sparkleberry Crossing Road, Suite 3, officially opened its doors Wednesday, welcoming guests to a new gathering spot in the northeast area of town.

Inspired by owner Shirine Arzu’s travels, the cafe is designed to be more than a place for craft beverages, it’s intended to be a space where people can gather, connect and spend time together.

“One thing I loved about South France is the culture of people sitting, having conversation, actually meeting up and just having that sense of community. And that’s something that I wanted to bring to this area,” Arzu said at the opening.

Lavender Cafe offers matcha, coffee, specialty beverages and pastries, including gluten-free options. The cafe also features a selection of handcrafted products from local makers…
