The City of Columbia is warning residents, developers, contractors and others doing business with the city to be on the lookout for scams involving Planning & Development Services applications, invoices and payment requests.
The city said fraudulent invoices and payment requests have become a recurring issue nationwide, targeting people and businesses involved in planning, permitting and development.
