COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — A Richland School District Two parent is calling for better communication and more reliable transportation after his middle school son was late to class every day since the new school year began because of bus delays.
Rashaan Solomon said he relies on the district’s bus tracking app to know where his son is and when he will arrive home, but he has not been getting timely updates when the bus is running behind.
“When I look for my son, I look for him to be home at a certain time because I know what time the bus is supposed to pick him up and if I look at my tracking app and he’s not there — well where is my son? Nobody’s communicating that to me,” Solomon said…
