‘You want to make the world safer for your kids’: Lexington PD offers free autism decals

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) – The Lexington Police Department is offering free decals designed to help first responders during roadside emergencies and traffic stops involving those with autism.

What the decals do

The stickers are designed to sit on the rear driver-side window of cars. Officers say it provides a visual cue during both routine and high-stress events, prompting first responders to use extra patience, clearer language, or a quieter tone when they approach.
