Lexington County leaders proudly cut the ribbon last Thursday on the new Jeffrey V. Chavis Fire Station.
Located at 1447 North Lake Drive, the station was named in honor of Lexington County Fire Service Firefighter Jeffrey Vaden Chavis, who was critically injured on June 16, 2001 while operating at a residential structure fire.
