COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — After 22 years in the Air Force and four deployments across the Middle East and the Pacific, Nikki Allmann returned home to Elgin and found herself facing a different fight — rebuilding her life after retirement and 29 surgeries.
For females especially, it’s a lot harder. You’re in a male dominated career field and you have to prove yourself continuously,” Allmann said.
