COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — A proposed housing development tied to the rapid growth around Scout Motors’ massive Blythewood project is raising concerns from a nearby homeowner who says the plan would cut through his driveway and could affect historic graves.
A developer is proposing 182 homes on more than 80 acres off Wilson Road in Blythewood. Richland County officials considered the plan during a zoning hearing Monday night, where developer Jason Whinghter and resident Charles Rumpleton spoke for and against the project.
