USC to modernize several buildings as part of master plan

USC Next, the University of South Carolina’s 10-year master plan of proposed improvements and capital projects, has received a green light at the state level for multiple projects.

Approval was granted to the university to begin modernizing three of the campus’ key buildings: the Thomas Cooper Library, Barnwell College and McKissick, the school’s museum.

USC Next renovations are intended to preserve the historic character of the buildings while updating their ability to serve today’s students through modernizing classrooms and workspaces…
