Two wounded in shooting at Columbia apartment complex on Thursday, police say

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded on Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for the Columbia Police Department said the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Colony Apartments along West Beltline Boulevard. Police said they were initially responding to a ShotSpotter alert, a service that helps law enforcement locate the origin of gunfire, but arrived at the apartment complex to find two people with gunshot wounds.

Police said one person had a wound to the arm and the other a wound to the lower extremities. Neither gunshot wound is believed to be life-threatening, police said…
