South Carolina honors law enforcement heroes with Medal of Valor at ceremony

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Law enforcement officers from across South Carolina were honored Tuesday night in Columbia for acts of bravery that officials said likely saved lives.

The South Carolina Sheriffs’ Association presented its Medal of Valor during a ceremony at the Palmetto Club, where law enforcement officers, along with friends and family, gathered to recognize recipients of one of the state’s most prestigious law enforcement awards.
