COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Clingstones have partnered with Realtree for the second year to create a jersey to pay homage to local veterans for a special game on Thursday, May 28. Realtree is the globe’s leading camouflage brand which was founded in Columbus 40 years ago.
According to officials, the Clingstones and Roundtree are collaborating with Plummer Home, a local, nonprofit organization supporting and assisting veterans to get back on their feet again in order to create custom Realtree Advantage Classic jerseys.
The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off throughout the game, with 100% of the proceeds going back to the Plummer Home, which provides residential living and assistance to struggling veterans who have endured life-changing adversities.
The first 1,000 attendees to enter Synovus Park will receive a special Clingstones Trucker Cap giveaway featuring Realtree Advantage Classic camo in addition to their special jersey, according to officials.
“Realtree is deeply appreciative of our veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country. These are men and women who took care of us, and we believe it is our responsibility as a community to help take care of them when they return home, and support organizations that do just that,” said Founder & CEO of Realtree, Bill Jordan.
According to officials, in addition to the special game on Thursday, The Plummer Home will be having its annual Crawfish Boil on Saturday, May 30, creating a chance for the community to fellowship together while supporting a great cause.
“We are proud to join the Columbus Clingstones in supporting The Plummer Home and the important work they are doing right here in Columbus,” Jordan said…
