(WJW) – Human remains that were discovered in two separate Minnesota lakes have finally been identified as a missing mother, whose disappearance has been left unanswered for more than three decades.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Denise Hartley, a Columbus native and the youngest of 15 children, went missing in 1993.
Investigators said Hartley was last known to be in St. Paul before her disappearance. As reported by USA Today and other media outlets, detectives said she reportedly moved from Ohio to Minnesota to “start a new life.”
