Former Columbus YMCA targeted for apartment development

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A southeast Columbus community is now a recreation center desert after the Jerry L. Garver YMCA closed after 30 years.

Now, developers want to repurpose the area into apartments. A proposed 216-unit affordable housing development is proposed for the roughly nine-acre site.
