LETART TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOWK) — An independent developer is looking to construct a utility-scale nuclear power plant in Southeast Ohio.
Elementl Power announced on Thursday that it is purchasing a nearly 700-acre Meigs County property along the Ohio River in Letart Township from American Municipal Power. The company said the site will host a proposed nuclear power plant with a planned capacity of up to 1.5 gigawatts.
