Newark man indicted on attempted murder charge in Etna Township shooting

A Newark man faces attempted murder charge after police allege in court documents that he fired a gun at multiple people June 21 inside an Etna Township home.

A Licking County grand jury on June 24 indicted Norman P. Doran, 47, with one count of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, with charge enhancers for having a firearm, and several lesser charges, Licking County Common Pleas Court records show.
