COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A couple who used to live in Powell is facing a dozen felony charges and is one of 10 Ohio cases under investigation for allegedly defrauding Ohio’s Medicaid program of more than $9 million.
According to the Ohio attorney general’s office, as part of a wide-ranging Medicaid fraud case, a Franklin County grand jury indicted a couple for reportedly billing services that were never provided.
Roberta Acheampong, 39, and her husband, Godfred Owusu-Sekyere, 46, are facing charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, telecommunications fraud, theft, forgery, money laundering, identity fraud and Medicaid fraud. See the latest headlines from NBC4 in the video player above.
