Michigan National Guard confirms air quality alert to units at Camp Grayling

GRAYLING – The Michigan National Guard says it has altered training at Camp Grayling and is pulling an Ohio National Guard unit in from its field exercise as wildfire smoke blankets the state.

David Kennedy, a public affairs officer with the Michigan National Guard, confirmed the Guard has taken action.

“There was an alert that was put out through the National Guard to units training about the air quality,” Kennedy said. “I know they’ve taken some steps to amend the training.”…
