COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Romance fans heading to this year’s Ohio State Fair will have a new stop to add to their list: a free, interactive Harlequin experience designed to bring the genre beyond the bookstore and directly to readers.
From July 30 through Aug. 2, Harlequin will debut what it calls an interactive romance activation for fairgoers, aimed at both longtime fans and first-time readers. The publisher, known for bestselling romance titles and book-to-screen adaptations, is bringing the experience to Ohio, which it describes as home to one of its strongest reader communities.
Visitors will be able to step inside a glass-sided photo truck and create their own romance novel cover using themed backdrops and props. The activation also includes carnival-style games, and fairgoers can take home a free Harlequin book.
Harlequin said every featured title will be family-friendly, with options for readers of all ages…
