(WJW) – A very close call captured on an Ohio traffic camera is serving as a reminder to “pay attention!”
The video shows a person standing with a disabled car on the shoulder of Interstate 670 and leaping onto a cement barrier as a car comes speeding towards them.

The person just barely avoids getting hit as they cling onto the median.
ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning shared the video on social media, calling it “about the closest call I’ve ever seen!”
“When the SmartLane on I-670 is closed, there’s a reason. It is first and foremost an emergency breakdown shoulder and only opened when traffic conditions warrant it and only after it has been swept and cleared of any vehicles or debris,” wrote Bruning. “There are MULTIPLE signs alerting drivers when it is open and when it is closed. This is about the closest call (for the person who had to jump onto the median wall) I’ve ever seen. Pay attention!”
