Stolen vehicle crashes into Columbus home after police pursuit

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A police pursuit ended east of Downtown, Columbus after a suspected stolen vehicle crashed into a home early Thursday morning.

According to the Columbus Division of Fire, a car crashed into an Olde Town East home at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. A Lieutenant with the division told NBC4 that the vehicle had been stolen, and the police chase ended on Bryden Road, near South 17th Street.

The stolen car reportedly crashed into a gas line next to the home and damaged a backyard fence. Firefighters are looking in and around the home for any potential gas pockets and are coordinating with Columbia Gas to check gas lines.
