Severe storms possible across Ohio Saturday afternoon, evening

OHIO — Another round of thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and hail to parts of Ohio Saturday afternoon and evening.

Storms are expected to increase in coverage during the early afternoon as they develop and move across the state. Some could become strong to severe, with central and eastern Ohio facing the greatest threat.

Those areas are under a Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather, while much of western Ohio is under a Level 1 risk. Damaging wind gusts and hail are the primary threats with the strongest storms…
