Full Ramp Closure, Detour Required on I-75/SR41 Interchange Project

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that construction has begun for the interchange improvement project at I-75/State Route 41, (exit 74) but due to growing safety concerns, a change in the traffic plan will be implemented this week.

The original maintenance of traffic plan for the project called for the ramp to remain open during the initial phase of construction. However, recent safety assessments by ODOT and its contractor found that maintaining traffic on the ramp while crews work along SR 41 poses unnecessary safety risks for both motorists and the construction team. As a result, ODOT has decided upon a full closure of the ramp through this phase of the project.

During the overnight of Sunday, April 19 the exit ramp from I-75 North to SR 41 will be closed, and it will remain closed until late summer 2026. While the ramp is closed, motorists may detour by way of I-75 North and County Road 25A (Exit 78) to I-75 South to SR 41…
