More than 60 calves stolen from Ohio farm overnight

OHIO — More than 60 calves valued at over $100,000 were stolen from a farm near Coldwater during an overnight theft, according to authorities.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office said 64 Holstein steer calves, approximately 13 weeks old and valued at about $2,000 each, were taken from a large barn. The total loss is estimated to exceed $100,000.

Sheriff Doug Timmerman said the theft was discovered when the farmer noticed cattle loose inside the barn and several animals missing. Investigators also found that multiple gates had been moved…
