Point system for driving violations

(WYTV) – We talked recently to a Canfield police officer about distracted driving and how police can ticket you for that, leading to a fine and points on your license. So what exactly are these points?

Here’s a refresher.

Ohio’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles will attach points to your license when you violate the traffic laws. You can pick up two, four or six at a time, depending on what you’ve done — from speeding to leading police on a chase, they’ll stay on your license for two years…
