Update: ICE agents who detained 2 people in Granville reported pursuing a suspect in a Columbus domestic violence case

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency official in Columbus told Granville Police Chief Bill Caskey that ICE activity in Granville on Monday, May 4, was not a planned enforcement action but the result of ICE agents following someone reportedly involved in a crime.

The agents took two people into custody after making a traffic stop at about 7 a.m. on Monday in the Denison University parking lot next to the Eisner Center for the Performing Arts, Caskey told The Reporting Project on May 6.
