Multiple schools in Ohio placed on lockdown following bomb threat

OHIO — Amherst Exempted Village Schools placed all district facilities on a “level 1” lockdown Thursday after Marion L. Steele High School and Nord Middle School received a bomb threat, according to school officials.

District officials said the Amherst Police Department and Amherst Fire Department responded to the schools and were managing the situation.

School officials announced that Steele High School and Nord Middle School students would be evacuated in accordance with district safety protocols.
