DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Home Energy Assistance Program is providing a way for Ohioans to receive assistance to pay their heating bills.
According to the Ohio Department of Development, “Ohioans with a household size of eight or less, and income at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, are eligible for the program.”
When applying, individuals should have:
- A copy of their most recent utility bills
- A list of all household members
- Proof of income for the past 30 days for all household members
- Proof of US citizenship or legal residency for all household members
- Proof of disability
